In both the AFL and NRL Last Man Standing competitions, you need to make a correct selection each weekend for every round of games.

AFL and NRL Last Man Standing
In the NRL Last Man Standing competition, you need to make one correct selection out of the six games and you are through to the next week’s rounds. Participants have the opportunity to go right through to the week 13 after which all the remaining participants need to make one selection every week at the game line from round 14.
In the AFL Last Man Standing competition, you make head to head selections up to and including Round 12 of the 2013 AFL Season. You then make line selections from Round 13 up to and including the Grand Final.
The competition is set in two stages with the first being Head to Head selections up to Round 13 of the NRL season and round 12 for the AFL season. The second is Line Selections from Round 14 for the NRL and round 13 for the AFL up to the Grand Final.
In the Head-to-Head rounds, participants are required to make one selection from the list of games.
You are allowed to change your selection as many times as you wish prior to the cut off time.
Head to Head Rounds
• If you fail to make a selection from Round 1 to Round 13, the home team of the first game played on the Saturday will be given to you.
• Final selections are confirmed via email as well as the results you were successful with in your selections
• Once you make it up to Round 12 for AFL and Round 13 for NRL you will be eligible to proceed to the second stage of the Last Man Standing competition, the Line Selections.
Line Selections
Line Selections is crunch time starting with Round 14 of the NRL Season and Round 13 for the AFL Season.
Sportingbet nominates a line handicap to each team in each Round. If one side is considered a 3.5-point better side than their opponent, you will be able to back this side to win by more than 3.5 points or back the opponent to lose by no more than 3.5 points or win the game.
Only participants who make the correct selection where the team wins the game with the line handicap specified by Sportingbet will be eligible for the next round. For example, if the game were listed as Broncos with a +3.5 handicap and the Roosters with a -3.5 handicap, to be successful you would need to win the game or have lost by no more than 3 points if you selected the Broncos.
Alternatively, if you select the Roosters, they should defeat the Broncos by not more than 4 points.
If more than one entrant makes a correct selection, which includes the Grand Final, the $50,000, is shared equally. If there is no clear winner then the spoils are shared by the tied entrants. The good thing is if everyone makes an incorrect selection in a weekend, everyone moves on to the following round.
