If you lack for something entertaining to do on the last day of 2017, you might want to have a peek at UFC 219 in Las Vegas at T-Mobile Arena.
The top draw on the women’s card will be Cris Cyborg vs. Holly Holm. Cyborg is from Brazil and Holm is from the United States. Pay-per-view will be available and anyone who wants to watch the event live will need to make the correct adjustments to line up 10 pm in the U.S. Eastern time zone. The fight will be for the Featherweight title.
The other main card women’s fight will feature to U.S, fighters; number seven-rankedCynthiaCalvilloagainst number eight Carla “Cookie Monster” Esparza.
Over on the men’s side, there are nine bouts scheduled for the men, with the top draw perhaps being UFC number two ranked Khabiib Nurmagomedov against number three ranked Edson Barboza. That fight will be contested at the 155-poing weight class. The Russian fighter Nurmagomedov is undefeated in 24 fights.
There are eight more quality fights on the card, but unfortunately, Conor McGregor is not one of them. At this point, it is far from certain that the voluble Irishman will ever take to the UFC octagon again, as he seems to have found a willing market for his boxing skills.
One UFC fighter that would like another crack at McGregor is Max Holloway.
Holloway has taken the UFC throne while McGregor is off on other missions. He has won 12 straight fights, including the featherweight title.
He fought McGregor back in 2013 and McGregor was the victor by unanimous decision.
Concerning McGregor’s future, not even UFC President Dana White knows all the details. “Who knows if Conor is even going to fight again,” White said. “I’m rolling like he’s not.Yeah, if Conor comes back and defends the title, anything is possible.”
