Rubick and Earthquake ran identical times to win their respective Sportingbet Blue Diamond Preludes and the exciting two-year-olds now share identical odds for Saturday’s Group 1 Sportingbet Blue Diamond Stakes following the barrier draw at Caulfield this morning.
In a fascinating betting race, Rubick firmed from $3.20 into $3 at Sportingbet after drawing favourably in barrier 10, while Earthquake drifted from $2.90 out to $3 after drawing wide in barrier 15.
Chivalry, who drew barrier 3, shortened from $10 into $8.50 third favouritism within an hour of the conclusion of the draw after attracting a number of significant wagers including one bet of $3,000.
