Nick Kyrgios doesn’t come across as the easiest player to coach but respected mentor Roger Rasheed is the favourite to have a crack after splitting with Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov.

Online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au has brought Rasheed’s odds in from $21 to $2.50 favourite to be Kyrgios’ next coach.

Rumblings of Davis Cup discontent have seen former favourite Pat Rafter drift from $5.50 to $6.00 but the two-time US Open champion is on the second line of betting with Darren Cahill.

“If Roger can put up with the tantrums, he looks to still have plenty in the tank as an elite coach. The timing couldn’t have been better for both parties,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Christian Jantzen.
