Dante Exum seems to be coming back from the serious knee injury that erased his season in the NBA last year. He scored 10 points coming off the bench as a reserve for the Utah Jazz, playing 19 minutes in the 97 – 81 win the Jazz posted against the Dallas Mavericks and Andrew Bogut. Bogut led both teams in rebounds, but the Mavs have yet to win a single game in this early stage of the 2016 – 2017 NBA season.

In other action, the Oklahoma City Thunder, sans the services of superstar forward Kevin Durant, have experienced no falloff whatsoever and remain unbeaten at this stage.

The Thunder beat the Los Angeles Clippers 85 – 83. New Zealand native Steven Adams played 31 minutes in the game, scoring only two points, but grabbing 11 rebounds in his starting role of center for the Thunder.

In the NBL, the Adelaide 36ers seem to have taken a page out of the playbook of their AFL counterparts, the Crows, featuring a frenetically paced game that loves to run and shoot at the expense of defense, which has left them with a .500 record thus far at 3 – 3 through six games.

Meanwhile, Sydney remains unbeaten for the last five games.
