Mick Malthouse is one of the greatest, if not the greatest coach in football history……well at least Collingwood supporters think so, which is part of the reason he’s been immortalised in bronze.

He’s taken the Pies’ arch-rivals Carlton to 18th on the ladder, and now Mick’s statue stands outside his former office at Princes Park with the message ‘For services to Collingwood 2013-2015’.

On behalf of Collingwood fans everywhere, Sportsbet have ensured Malthouse’s legacy will remain at Carlton in some form for many more years to come.

The statue is set to become a must-see attraction for Magpies fans who are forever grateful for what their hero has achieved for the Pies, by being at the Carlton Football Club.

“By taking the Magpies’ fierce rival Carlton to the bottom of the ladder, Malthouse has further etched his name into Collingwood folklore. He probably deserves a medal from Pies fans, but a statue will have to do,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Christian Jantzen.
