New South Wales Coach Laurie Daley has ended the suspense, but not the controversy, as to who will represent the Blues side for the State of Origin opener.
Josh Dugan made the squad; timing his recovery from a broken cheekbone he suffered earlier in the month was he was representing the Commonwealth of Australia.
Dugan is one of the best when it comes to running the ball and he plays entirely adequate defensively, so the only doubt concerning his selection was the timetable for his recovery.

Daley excluded Paul Vaughan, which left many Blues supporters with mouth agape. His play for the St. George Illawarra Dragons has been Dally M-like and he deserved to be selected, if anyone did.
Matt Moylan was another player overlooked by Daley for game one of the Origin Series, but his versatility may make him one to watch should any of the pack at fullback, five-eighth or utility goes down to injury.
