The top two picks for Saturday’s Group 1 The Star Doncaster Mile have both eased in betting at WilliamHill.com.au after being dealt wide gates at today’s barrier draw.
William Hill pushed the Bart and James Cummings-trained favourite Hallowed Crowd out from $5.50 out to $6 following the draw, while second favourite Real Impact drifted from $6.50 out to $7.
“They’ll want to be coming down the middle of the track anyway if the ground is rain-affected, but it makes the run to the first turn interesting,” said William Hill’s Andrew Brown.
Emergency Kermadec also eased from $6.50 to $7, while Pornichet firmed from $8.50 into $7.50 after drawing favourably.
In the BMW Australia Derby, Preferment is the $3.40 at William Hill in front of Hauraki ($3.80), Volkstoknbarrell ($4.60) and Mongolian Khan ($7.50).
