TAHS AT TOP OF BETTING FOR 2015 SUPER RUGBY TITLE

The NSW Waratahs will start the new Super Rugby season as co-favourites at Sportingbet.com.au to defend their 2014 title.

The Tahs and Chiefs top Sportingbet’s market at $5 ahead of the Crusaders ($5.50) and Sharks ($8).

“If the Waratahs play the brand of rugby they played last year under Michael Cheika, they are once again going to be tough to beat,” said Sportingbet’s Andrew Brown.

“The Chiefs have bolstered their mid field considerably with the likes of Sonny Bill Williams returning to Hamilton and punters think that they represent the biggest danger to the Tahs’ hopes of back-to–back titles.”

Last year’s semi-finalists the Brumbies are $11 fifth picks at Sportingbet, just in front of the Reds at $15.

“The Brumbies have had a drama-filled off-season and have lost Ben Mowen to France, so it could be tough for them this season.”

“The recruitment of Karmichael Hunt and James O’Connor has punters excited about the Reds’ prospects this season and outside of the favourites they have been the best backed team for the title.”

The Force ($67) and Rebels ($151) are the two least favoured of the Australian teams.
