Chris Waller stablemates Boban and Red Tracer now share favouritism for Saturday’s George Ryder Stakes with the retirement of Appearance.

Appearance was installed favourite, but injury has forced connections to retire the mare. Online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au has posted the Waller trained pair equal favourites at $3.20.

“The Ryder still looks a great race. Like us, punters will probably find it hard to split Boban and Red Tracer,’’ said sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson.

Messene remains dominate favourite in Doncaster betting at $3.50. Catkins ($9.00) and classy three-year-old El Roca ($10) have had some early support for the April 12 Group 1.
