NO LUCK NEEDED FOR GRAY

Perth star Luckygray is back in form and punters are confident he can defend his Kingston Town Classic crown on Saturday.

Online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au has posted Luckygray as a $2.50 favourite, for the Ascot Group 1. However, there has been strong support for his arch-rival Mr Moet ($6.00).

“Luckygray wasn’t right during the Melbourne spring, but he showed he was back to his best with a great win in the Railway Stakes last start. He’s even better suited under weight-for-age conditions, but Mr Moet can make a race of it,’’ sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson said.

Mr Moet finished second in the race last year and is on the third line of betting. The Fred Kersley trained Ihtsahymn splits the pair on $4.20.

In good news for punters, sportsbet.com.au will refund your bet in the Kingston Town Classic if your horse runs second!
