DARLEY DOMINANCE TO CONTINUE

Trainer Peter Snowden is set to add another classic three-year-old trophy to his cabinet when Guelph steps out at Caulfield on Wednesday.

Online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au has installed Guelph as the $1.40 favourite to win the Thousand Guineas and add a fourth Group 1 to her resume following this morning’s barrier draw.

Snowden’s three-year-olds won Saturday’s two majors for the youngsters. He took out the Caulfield Guineas with Long John and Complacent won the Spring Champion Stakes in Sydney.

“The Darley yard, especially the three-year-olds, is in super form and Peter has done well to keep his stars apart. Guelph is arguably the best of the trio, she is classes above this field and should be winning comfortably,” sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said.

Prior to the draw, Guelph has been heavily backed, attracting three times the money than any other runner. Last start Caulfield winner May’s Dream ($9.00) is on the second line, with Group 2 winner Gregars and Bound For Earth both at $11.
