12 Years A Slave is a clear-cut $1.25 favourite with bookmaker Sportingbet to win the Academy Award for Best Picture, and Chiwetel Ejiofor is a $1.67 favourite to win the Best Actor Oscar for his lead role in the film.

With nominations now finalised, Cate Blanchett has firmed into the very short odds of $1.08 at Sportingbet to win the Best Actress Oscar for her performance in Blue Jasmine.
